In 2023, Lower Mainland authorities identified 58% of trucks as out of service (OOS) Burnaby RCMP’s Traffic Services, alongside 10 partner agencies, identified 58% of commercial vehicles inspected as out of service (OOS) during enforcement operations throughout the Lower Mainland in British Columbia last year. According to a news release, authorities conducted 50 operations in 2023, inspecting 1,715 trucks, resulting in 999 being deemed OOS. The RCMP reported 3,974 violations recorded and issued 1,298 tickets.
